          The radio carrier in the photos is the 41 and later RCA\GE recieve only carrier. The earlier one mounted the power supply and reciever higher on the cycle. You see photos of the late RCA\GE carriers used with the Avia and Link Vetric radios which are two way radios in 49 to well late 50's like kurly's photo. It is a two way radio but still the small boxes unlike the Motorola boxes which are longer. You can find the hardtail Motorola carriers and the Motorola boxes were remade at one time by Raymond Miller in North Carolina and the control heads are around. The two way radios used a lots of power so you saw the big battery with its support and oiltank come into use. It is not easy when it comes to police radios. I almost forgot about the radio suppression equipment....
