I have seen all different battery tray colors. on a 1950 hydra glide what color or coating should the battery tray be?

I have read palmers book many times getting ready to do all the black is there anything the book does not mention that should be painted black ?

Save yer time lookin'. It isn't listed. But my factory photo shows a Parkerized battery tray.

just dropped a lot of stuff off to the media blaster hope to have it all back by Monday. Now I have to get in gear and order all the pakerizing and cad plating kits.

Battery Tray Finish

Does anyone know what should the battery tray finish be for a 38 EL?

To review Palmer's on pg. 520,
Second line of "Parkerized Parts....'38-64 etc..."
lists "oil tank baseplate, and battery tie down bolts (BT)".

I took that for the battery tray.

The Factory often park'd hardware before enamelling, so the years could still vary.
