  • outer primary opinion

I purchased a set of outer primary covers to replace the aftermarket ones on my 64' duo glide and I think they are beyond repair...at least for me. They are pretty beat up and looks like they have brass filler in several areas. I'm considering buying a set off of ebay and the ones I found look too clean to be original so I need a second opinion. Is it possible these are NOS or most likely a Reproduction set?
    Thanks

He has great feedback. If in doubt, ask him for a pic of the tag. It looks to be as stated to me. Paps

He claims it is NOS. I don't know of anybody repoping that one.

V-Twin # 42-0880 only bears a slight resemblance to the original. It is a custom part. Not a reproduction.

                Looks good to me

I'd say yes to that cover as it even has the compensator grease plug cover with it. I trust a person with perfect feedback of that volume as well. My guess would be around $200+ when done, tough with this economy right now. Used ones go $100 + in good shape. Good luck. Merlin in Pa.

                  Close guess

Did you get it Scoot? I was watching it too to see if I could get a steal of a bargin in these tough times LOL I guess not. Actually I didn't need spare, just seeing how close my estimate would be. It fluctuates so much on Ebay at times. Merlin in Pa.

Scoot, I hope ya got it. NOS still pop up from time to time. Lakeboy out of northern Cal has had three up for sale in the last year. One of them was the rarest of them all. The side car primary. The whole game to Flesse-Bay is paticence. It's never the last one for sale and there will always be one for less money. Bob
