1st time I've noticed this. The nut that holds the compensator assembly on my pan bottoms out before the spring cover tightens up against the spring. Does this indicate a spring that has compressed with use over time? Or is it that the compensator assembly is worn? Is there any way to check for this wear, or does anyone know the standard length of a new compsensator sprocket spring? Just as an update, I measured the length of the spring, and it is 2.255".
