Hi all! 20250321_222736.jpg Does anybody know the correct shock cap size for a 1959 Duo-Glide? I have these 3 slightly different sets - 2 3/4" tall with a 1 3/4 wide slot, 3" tall with a 1 1/2" slot, and 3 1/4" tall with a 1 1/2" slot. All of them fit the shock just fine. Also, should the clamps be chrome or cadmium plated? I have a large collection of Panhead photos and it looks like there are a lot of variations from bike to bike.

Nothing huh? I could not find details in any of my books either - was surprised Palmer didn't have more info on Duo-glide shocks. I used the 3" tall version which lined up with the wear marks on the original shocks. Also went with the brushed cadmium clamps, I think the chrome ones are aftermarket or a later year. If you happen to be installing these on a 58/59 Panhead the shock with the pin in the 'A' slot goes on the left and the 'B' is on the right. The A/B also point towards the rear of the bike. Party on.Attached Files
