I am looking for a set of quieter mufflers for my 1961 panhead true dual exhaust anyone know where I could find them Thanks if you can help

I don't know if what you have is stock and worth saving, but if they are, may I suggest adding these baffles in the pipe ahead of them?

I put them on my Road King with V&H mufflers and they quieted them right down, and increased low end torque too.

Let us know how they work on the 61. I've searched for a pair of correct "extra quiets" / "super quiets" at swap meets for my 64 only to find out every one I've looked at in decent enough exterior condition has been intentionally poked out internally or had rusted out baffle.

I have purchased a pair of the Big city thunder baffles. Did not work exactly as I expected . The installation instructions said to install the baffles a minimumin of 4 inches in from the end of muffler. This would work great on drag pipes. My 1961 FLH has cigar mufflers which at 4 inches in there is nothing to attach to. I installed them in about 1-1/2 inches from the end did not make a big difference in the sound . Sure would like to find a pair of really quiet mufflers . any suggestions Thanks

Did you put them before the mufflers? Or at the end? THey belong in the pipe ahead of the mufflers

Make sure you put the pointy end in the right direction. It's been about 10 years since I did mine, so I don't recall which way.

Whenever I see a product like that, Folks,...

It compells me to pass judgement on the customer demographic.

                    Good for Big City Thunder!

Hi Tom, I would think the typical demographic is a customer that makes the bike louder in the sort of way a primate beats his chest to show domination (in his opinion of course). It's pretty rare for a guy to want a quieter bike.

That wasn't my point at all, DEEBS,...

(If anyone mentions "back-pressure", it will only confirm my predjudice, and probably make my tongue bleed.)

                        I sure miss Kitabel...

PS: But kudos to Big City Thunder for such a boisterous name, but ironically marketing snuffers!
