Seat treatment recommendations

Looking at putting this seat on my 58 FLH if I ever show it. Mink oil was recommended, any other suggestions? Trying to make it last.

Mink oil...never.. Use a product with glycerin as the active ingredient. Mink oil is death on old leather..

Sounds like glycerin is a safe way to go.
