  • 58 Panhead seat post question

4B3545B6-C890-4E28-A90E-CAB36585E1B6.jpeg I'm trying to set up for 220# and up rider. This is how it is now. There isn't enough thread sticking out of the bottom of the frame tube to at least come flush. Spring compression set at 11 1/2". Lower springs heavy duty V-Twin came in 13-9253 set. I have been trying to find the lengths of each spring that should be in this setup but no luck. Some of the upper ones have measurement in Palmers or the Spare parts manual

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have found what I think will work for my 250# self. Got 3 springs in the upper plunger tube. Then removed one lock nut on lower rod. I put the lock nut against the lower spring seat and locked it down. Then installed the lower nut and locked to the one locknut. Installed seems good . Has the recommended 3/4 thread exposed on the lowest point.
