Hi - You may remember this Harley 48. The bike was judged at 87% in May 22 and I am now trying to get it to 97%. I have a few easy questions for you 48 Panhead experts.
1 - see exhaust clamp photo - should the front clamp be black or parkerised - judges say black?
2 - see timer adjusting nut washer photo and parts manual page 50 photo - judges say there should be a washer beneath the nut - not in parts book. If so, what is the part number?
3 - see oil pump spring caps photo - judges say caps should be parkerised, Palmer says CAD - who is right?
4 - see cotton reels photo - which way should they be put on, large diameter to wheel center or not - judges could not agree.
