  • 1963 Trumpet Horn

Can someone tell me if the trumpet style horn will fit on a '63 FL with a SS Super G carb?
Trying to correct some of the wrongs on this bike.

    Thanks!

You would need a very custom carb support, I believe, Rainman!

Correcting the carb first would make it much easier..

(Although the Jubilee horn is always a P.I.T.A. in itself.)

Rainman, I've been running an S&S Super E on my 59FL for over 20 years. To make room for the trumpet I made a bracket from the top intake bolt to a rear head valve cover screw to support the carb. This may be an option for your Super G as well. The front of the trumpet is a stock mount as is the horn power pack. Pictures attached...

I really like the way it runs with the S&S. So, physically, the horn fits. It's the mounting that would have to be fabbed. That I can probably do.

        Thanks!

Its been a couple of decades for me, Rainman,..

But it seemed easiest to support S&Ss with a simple vertical strap from the top case stud to the bottom manifold bolt. You may already have that.

The Jubillee has to occupy the same space, so you may want to mimic the 1954 MOCO attempt:

              I already feel bad, Rainman..

It was only a historically bad example.

Although "correct" has been tortured by the purists, "correct" usually proves not only the cheapest with the best return in the long run, but conserves stomach lining.
