57 Tank Emblems

Would someone please explain the proper way to remove and replace the plastic tank emblems used in 57 and 58? I'm thinking you probably drill out the old rivets, but how to set the new ones?
Are new rivets available?

I think if you want to salvage the emblems currently on the tank removing the head of the rivet is the only way to safely get them off. They're a solid rivet that are a press fit into a retainer (see photo below). New rivets are available from Old Dude (as I think are retainers). Last I looked the Old Dude rivets had a mark on the head whereas the originals were smooth. It's easily taken care of ... Perry

On another subject, do you still make the repro dash bases for 39-46?

Back in the chopper days, the biker across the street brought the tanks to us kids; we liked to take the emblems off with a BB gun.
