  • Mechanical brake pedal linkage

Can someone post some pictures of the mechanical real brake pedal and it’s linkage? Where this linkage goes under the footboard there is a lot going on what with the return spring and the brake light switch and the footboard support. There is not much room under there for all that stuff. Some pictures would help me out a lot. This is a 55 pan I’m working on. Thanks

I found some nice pictures from an earlier thread posted by Hank Fisher. They really help. Thanks Hank.

Keep in mind that the brake switch pull is also the brake pedal lock to be used when removing the rear wheel lug bolts. The pedal is depressed and the pull is tightened to the rod with the upper against the footboard mount effectively locking the rear wheel for one man operation.

This is correct for 1938 and later. 1936/37 is as pictured.
