    Clutch Hub Nut

What is the difference (if any) between clutch hub nuts1941-1964 and 1965-1984? Part #s are 37496-41 and 37496-65.

    Thanks in advance!

i believe it is the seal. the early ones used a washer, spring, & cork gasket, while the later used a one piece rubber lip type seal, which you can always stack two on. you can use the rubber seal in the early clutch hub nut as well.

As stated. The early ones have a snap ring groove machined in them to hold all the seal parts, the later do not as the lip seal is a press fit, although the ID of both is the same.
