Hi - wondering if anyone on this board has information via Harley acessory manuals that list the factory paints.
I have a 1Qt. can of HD "Air Dry Acrylic" Lacquer.
Part # 98603-JB Candy HI-FI Blue
My plan is to use this paint to repaint my '65
Pan. Thing is, that this is a factory sealed never opened can (still has the intact metal clips holding the lid), and I'd like to leave it that way until I verify it's the proper Hi Fi Blue for my bike.
The only numbers I have to go by are from the '94, '95, '96 accessory catalogs that list part number 98603-BG as the part number. The paint is also listed Hi-Fi Blue (the word Candy is omitted)
This (and the pictures of the cans) is telling me
that this is manufactured after that date.
Can anyone tell me when the part number changes to -JB, and whether this version of Hi-Fi Blue would even be close to what is correct for '65??
I'd like to leave it unopened if I'm not really intending to use it. At least for now, anyway
