  • Seat Post Length

I'm fitting the seat post on my 1953 FLE and it appeasers that the rod is too short. I'm thinking that someone had cut the rod short for some strange reason. The length from the bottom surface of my plunger to the bottom of the rod is 11-5/8". This doesn't make sense, as the longest spring adjustment distance is 11-1/2" and the thread must extend past this distance to enter the bottom frame plate.
Does anyone have the correct seat post rod length?

    Thanks,

Just the threaded spring rod is 16" long and all put together the overall length is 24". Might vary a bit depending on springs and setup.

Thank you Hack. I got it worked out. It was an obstruction it the seat post tube, which I've since cleared.
