    heads for 49 pan

I have a '49 pan that has a 50 cast into each head. Do these cast numbers always refer to the model year or might these heads really be 49's?

    48 and 49 used "119 48" and "119 482", heads also have a casting date.

If you mean date code 5 0 it indicates casting in May 1950.
If you are referring to 119 50 (front) and 119 501 (rear) they are casting numbers used for 1950–54 models.
