Panhead Rocker Arms

Friend was going thru Clymers (granted not the "officail" source but still a "source" of information). It is the only manual he currently has. he was going thu the book and read this...under rocker arm inspection regarding the rocker arm sockets



I have a complete set (4 each) with both types



Are they interchangeable without issue? Can you run say three with the early style and run one with the later style?

From my experience, you can run either style in any year head.
