saddle bag key

Hi there,

please advise where I can get a key for this saddle bag. or may I see it if anyone have? I might be able to cut.

I bought a pack of them one time from a luggage store, but that was 30 years ago and luggage has changed. I think the # on the key was 42. I'll try and take a picture later today, simple key. Maybe an on line search of a #42 luggage key. I'll look later and confirm that #42 is right.

I just looked at some keys hanging on the wall, and the bag key is stamped 42.

Bag Key.JPG The top key is an Excelsior original, the bottom is from Ohio Travel Bag. Speedy Shoe Repair is where I bought the keys in Jupiter, FL USA I think.

I have a couple of sets of saddlebag mechanisms. One set uses a #42 key; the other uses a #43 key. Both the #42 and the #43 keys are made by Excelsior.

I have a local locksmith that has been around since the dawn of mankind. I could see if he could cut one of each?

I never unlocked mine. It was simple to push the lid down and to the side to get it open.
