    65 Pan engine #'s

    Hey, Panhead guys.
Have a 65 with a 5 digit serial number. Can anyone tell me how far the five digit numbers ran to? (last # for 65)
    Thanks in advance, Fred

Fred, for 1965 Pans the SNs began at 1001 and went to about 15000 or just over.

But even if yours is in the normal range, what does it look like? Are the characters the usual factory types for 65? Does the SN comply with the even-odd code? FL or FLH? What is stamped on top of the cases near the rear engine mounting bolts? What do the BNs look like?
