While taking a closer look at my triple trees today tho lower bearings showed some visual wear and decided while everything is apart I should replace. Took some work put got the bearing removed and noted it was a timken 07100 15 roller bearing. The bearing that was in the top was a new timken L44653 19 roller (aparently a 60 bearing). Strangely enough with this setup the tins fit perfectly. At any rate when researching replacement 48300-49 timken bearings they seem to have 16 rollers, do these still work?

Just found the section about steering cups and bearings in Palmers restoration guide, he mentions that the correct bearing for my 52 pan would be the timken 07100 and it has 16 rollers. Apparently the 16 roller timken is the replacement for the original 15 roller timken, strange though that there was no mention of the 15 roller timken.
