That was a great site and unfortunately alot of great information was lost when it was taken down . A real shame for sureOriginally posted by rms337 View PostThanks, Duke. Yes, I did understand the dry measurements when I brought it up in 2014. Robbie also said measure dry below. So all good there.
But, I am looking for anyone that may have saved Tom’s thread to PDF before CAIMAG was shut down? I know I printed it out, but cannot find it now 12 years later. I have found it referenced in general on several sites, but links are dead, of course.

I have a printed copy of that wheelhub rebuild document from caimag that I can provide (I'll scan to PDF). Personal message me if you're interested. I will be assembling two hubs in the next month so I'll definitely reference the doc to remind myself of the process.

I have an in-color PDF version of the document ready to go (10 pages). Referencing the document, the author does not measure the end play with the assembly dry, he measures end play after assembling with marine grease. Not saying this is right, its just how the auther demonstrated the assembly.

Bad idea. I told Tom that at the time. We argued about it, he posted it anyway.Originally posted by jgbrown59 View PostI have an in-color PDF version of the document ready to go (10 pages). All end play (and every other clearance!) is always checked dry. Proceed however you like!Robbie Knight Amca #2736
