The Second does not. The new Third will have it. That is why it is taking him so long. The 1965 had so many changes that it is a real bitch to document them all.

Tom, Bruce says for you to sell your extra books so you will have money to buy the new one. :-)

            I'll take offers, Chris!

(The second edition is pretty useless to me since the carb info was deleted.)

Carburetor information is found on pages 373-384 and 404-406.

                Doh!

I put the book away after page 384, Chris!
                (That way it stayed clean.)

When is the '41 brass manifold info going to be corrected?

PS: Photo credit to Duffey, I think.

Look what I found....though I threw it away... but I kept looking for it knowing that would be really a bad idea....

Well Tom, It appears that you have something previously unknown. My brass 45" intake has a -39 number on it. My FL intake is un-numbered. Several old time dealers and mechanics, who have all passed by this time, had told me that the brass FL intake was a '41 year only item. Sadly I have never seen any factory documentation about it.

I have no factory documentation on it either but I do have pictures of 7 OEM original paint 47's with a brass intake including my own. I am still waiting for you to come up with one equivalent 1941.

                      Jerry

I have never found any year bike with a brass manifold on it.

I've had plenty cross my benches, Chris!

Other than a late '46 UL, an unknown WR, and a '47 Servi,
the rest were all '47 OHVs.

And some of them were pretty wormy.

Even bronze would have been better than ordinance brass.
