Fork slider leaking

Yeah that’s it Hack. It’s pressed into the end. Well I tried a little of all your suggestions and the combination has worked. I took a circle of emery paper and glued it to a 15/16th socket. Put the socket on a long extension backwards and stuck that in my drill. Stuck all that down the slider and had that bottom surface shining in 10 or 15 seconds. Then I put it back together with a lot of sealant and a copper washer under the nut. No leaks. What an easy way to clean that slider. Thanks for the idea sswaney and bob and Cotten and the rest.
