Throttle cable routing

I have a 52FL. I suspect the throttle cable is not routed correctly and does not have the proper clamp. I see in the pic provided by Chris what looks like a clamp at the neck. Is there one up there on the 52s? I'm having issues identifying the correct clamp(s) in the spare parts catalog. Help would be appreciated.

'52 cable comes out on the left side of the steering head and goes between the front frame legs along the neck support tube and is clamped with the cable clamp that attaches to the top motor mount bolt.
It is all pictured well in the Palmer Books in the photos of wiring harness routing.

Thanks Robbie. In the Palmer book I have access to (first edition?) I see on page 247 a couple of pics but nothing that’s helping. A current pic from someone would be super helpful.

My 52 does have the clamp at the top motor mount. The cable was on left side of the neck but did not go between the down tubes. I moved the cable but now it seems like the cable is not quite long enough. I can not get full throttle travel no matter what I do unless I push on the arm of the carb. Wire move full length. The end in the handle bar is tight. I’m wondering if it’s the correct cable because it does not look the same as the spark control cable. The outer dim of the casing is noticeably smaller.

The clamp on the left side of the neck is for the spark cable, correct? It was holding the throttle cable.

Colony Machine makes everything you need. You have to look on both the frame page, Cable page, and carburetor page to see everything. Always use the parts book the same year as your bike. Later years will show what they are using then.
