A few years back, I had my '56 Harley judged for the first time and came out of it with a junior 1st. One of the things that I lost points on was "non-stock mufflers". The original owner said that the exhaust system was the way he received the bike when new so I always wondered about the mufflers. A year or so back there was some one inquiring in "The Antique Motorcycle" about seamless, police special Harley mufflers for his panhead. Can anyone tell me where I can find info on police-optional equipment that may have been offered by HD? I've looked in the original parts manuals and find nothing listed.
