  • M74B Float Lever Pin

I am assembling a Linkert M74 B. While adjusting the float level it occurred to me that the float lever pin p/n 27383-11 did not have a means to prevent leakage. Is this part supposed to have a fiber washer or o-ring under the head? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks Wayne

    Wayne!

A seal was never spec'd there, because it is supposed to be above the fuel level, believe it or not.
(That's why sidevalves never had a bowl gasket either.)

Beware any seal will increase the side-slop of the floatlever, increasing the chance of a "hang-up", often leading to hammermarks on the outside of the bowl.
I cut very thin paper seals, but usually only use them when there is apparent damage to the sealing surface.
