Need to reattach mounting stud on H.D. OEM, stainless fender-trim nose-piece, ('49-'56). Silver solder?

Probably silver solder is your best bet. If it's stainless or Stay-brite, the discoloration will polish out.

They are available everywhere. They are generic molding clips and used to be sold by the box at NAPA. But every aftermarket parts seller has them.
