1965 panhead FL

  • 1965 panhead FL

    Would like some info about the cylinders that are on my bike .The rear cylinder has a raised letter A 15-5 is this the right cylinder, the front has C 8-1 witch is also raised is this correct also for this year bike. Thank you Bill

    A 15-5 = January 15, 1965
    C 8-1 = March 8, could be 1961 or a replacement from 1971. Most likely a replacement.

      More likely from 71, oiler barrels hadn't been invented in 61.

          '63-'65 fins are a little thicker, the easy way to tell with the motor assembled is the Motor Casting Co. logo on cylinders.
