Comfort Flex base for my Buddy seat on my 65 FLH

After giving up on removing my pogo stick, I took the bike to a shop to have it removed. The owner asked me if I had trouble reaching the ground with my 30" inseam legs. I said I do and he suggested using the spring mount for the Comfort Flex seating system on the 1980 and up bikes. He claimed his uncle road a 65 with a buddy seat with one of these systems and it really reduced the seat height. He said his uncle was also short legged.

My question is, has anyone attempted this on a 65? He didn't give me much in the way of hope that the pogo stick would be able to be removed ( it was broken off down inside). I've tried everything that was suggested on this forum and others to remove it before giving up.

    Thanks,
    SF

Keep in mind that the front mount for the comfort flex is the pogo itself.
Here is a picture of my old '65 hybrid with a comfort flex in the late '70s. The pogo is visible.

Did it lower the seat height? The picture doesn't seem to indicate that.

In the soft setting it was actually about 2 inches lower than a Deluxe Buddy Seat.
