Picked up a 1965-1969 frame, need help with the date code on left side of top motor mount. It is l 1 or maybe I 1.
Also need to know if the frame neck has been modified?

I'd say after looking at the second letter, a sure 1, the first is either an I or L. The top of the second letter has a slash to the left, while the first is straight. But maybe someone smarter than me will chime in.

I think that frame is 69 or newer and yes the neck has been modified.. Is there any evidence of it having a neck pin to lock the front end? Top motor mount looks like a 69 and up which has a straight slot. Earlier had an "L" shaped slot. Hard to tell with poor pictures.

I believe it's a 1971 frame. Got it at an estate sale. There is no hole for steering lock. Where can I get a good replacement neck? Thanks.Comment
