    Repainting emblems?

Hi, all. I recently picked up some oem 1948-50 tanks with Fox speedball emblems for my 1950 FL. Almost all paint is gone from the emblems, basically none of the original/previous red left. This might be close to heresy, but...can/should I consider "refreshing" the paint, or just leave as is? I kinda like the red in the speedball, but don't want to do something I shouldn't. If I do re-paint, anyone got any recommendations on paint source/code? Thanks for the opinions, in advance.

Send them to John Pierce at Color Rite. I think it is $100 for the pair but call him first.

Perhaps Robert Luland will chime in. He has an excellent process for painting emblems, which I tried with great success. Unfortunately, I can't remember what it was I used Testors red model paint from a hobby store. I have 3 sets of those emblems and I have one set on my '48 that are still nice originals. The Testors paint is a very good match. Is it perfect? Who knows?
