I'm looking for an original 65-68 HD OEM 12 volt battery. I don't care so much about condition as long as any splits or cracks aren't too bad. I talked to the battery guy who advertises in the club rag at the Oley meet. He (and I) would like to have a good sample of that battery that originally ran exposed on the '65. I'd like to buy a casting of that battery, install a gell and take off the battery cover on my '65 resotoration. I.E. just run with the top cover on.
If anyone has one of these batteries out in the yard, on the shelf or even in a bike that they would sell or even loan so that we can get a casting made to make a repro case please PM me? Method won't harm the battery itself.

Anytime I advertise in the adds here I only get responses from a guy in England that won't send photos - so not biting on that :-)
