Front brake cable sleeve length

I am redoing the front brakes on my '55FL. I have always thought the brake cable sleeve was too long and bows up too high. Is there a specific length for the sleeve, or do you make it a length that looks good? Any advise would be appreciated.

I just noticed this thread now Carl and am surprised that nobody weighed in. I did some digging through my literature and came up with nothing as far as specifics. Maybe this place can help you out... http://www.hydra-glide.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=5 they have some awesome tech stuff....

Cory, I also posted the question on the Hydra-Glide forum. Nobody had much of an answer. Just cut it to length. So I made it the length that looked good. Much happier with it now. Thanks for the reply.
