oil tank patent decals

Hi AMCA Experts,
actually i'm restoring a 1949 FL Panhead. What i want to know is, has a 49 FL patent decals on his oil tank?
And, if yes on both sides? If only one on which side is it correct?

I'm not familiar with 49 but your Palmers book should let you know. But by no means am i an expert.

But it raises a question on what yrs was the patent decals behind the seat post and where is the patent located on a 49?
