  • Foot clutch spring stud.

The foot clutch spring stud that goes on the mounting bracket on my 50 pan is worn out down to almost nothing. Have a replacement, need to know is that a pressed fit? Do you you need some kinda special tool or form to get the new one to fit like the old one? Thanks

Its suppose to be a tight fit. We use a fifty ton press to set the rivet end. We know by the diameter of the rivet stud what pressure on the gauge to stop at. You need to make a holding fixture for the stud to keep it from deforming or you can send it to us and you will be a much happier camper in the end. The guys that make this stuff never bother to tell you that there's no way in hell your doing this properly in your garage or rental space. Bob L

They were done originally on a 'trip hammer'. Lost art anymore for the most part. Jerry
