  • Front Brake Cable

The '48 is almost ready for the summer season. If it ever gets here!!! Anyway, the only thing I have left to do on the priority list is the front brake. That's a no brainer but the cable I have seems awfully long and that's why I'm thinking a previous owner may have switched it to the right side. Does anybody know off the top of their head how long the cable is supposed to be on a springer? I have a replacement on the shelf but it's just as long as the one that's on it. I'm thinking some modifying may be in order. Thanks in advance for any info....

You still got the snow treads on Cory? We had such a mild winter I think it went from fall to spring. It was 101* in OH today. Have an enjoyable summer Cory. Bob

Well Bob, I was in fresh snow today at work but it's been long since melted at home. It's been raining though pretty much everyday for over a month. The rivers and creeks are spilling over and roads are washing away. I do hear we are in for a hot dry spell and before I know it I'll be begging for a little cooler weather!!! You have yourself an enjoyable summer as well.

Ouch! I've been in Kentucky in the summer and I have to say you folks get some heat. The kind that weighs you down when your walking down the street!
