hole in frame...

This is a 58-64 frame with a K1 date code. I am about to put it to use, but was wondering about the holes in the neck area? Can someone tell if they are supposed to be there?
Also, if anyone sees anything that does not look right, please let me know… 

Ran That hole is not supposed to be there. Later shovel head Super Glides mounted their one piece tanks like that and I suspect that is what happened to your frame.
