Hi again Dale. Looking at the pictures you sent of your bike, it has made me think of another question:- Your front radio head unit that you made from the old speaker is mounted on top of the aluminium handlebar cover? How have you done this? I have the correct radio head, the correct mounting bracket and the correct male/male threaded handlebar clamp studs for the bracket. Did you drill two holes for the studs to protrude through the cover? Or, is there a correct 'police' handlebar cover that I don't have. Or, is there another method i'm missing, because I dont have any police supplement parts information? Without the aluminium cover the area around the triple tree stem nut looks ugly. How yours looks is so much better and must be right but Im unsure how its done? Also, on the same subject, does the original stock type leather windshield bag still fit between the radio head and the inside of the windshield. If so, I need to be looking to buy one.
    Thanks, Grahame.

It used to be common to find covers from police bikes that had four holes drilled in the covers for the radio mount studs to stick through. Two holes on each side Siamesed together to allow handlebar travel under the cover.

Thanks Chris. Good to know. I couldn't think of any other way it could be done.
        Much appreciated!
        Grahame.
