no problem cory, if for any reason you need any pics of anything that 48 made its way into winners circle so feel free to pm me. Matt thanks for my long awaited 36-9 brake switch, it looks great on my EL (btw- I had fun getting one of the wires off as the damn insert turned with the retaining screw and I didnt want to destroy it, I actually sat there with a dentist pick for an hour or so and literally had to pick the wire out to free some space up to grab the insert with a tiny airplane model plier and then turn the screw free, not a drink before you work exercise!). All the best, Anthony.

Glad it worked out for you Anthony.

Cory I made a photobucket album with a lot of pictures of my 48 a while back. The AMCA judges say its 99pts at 2 different meets. Gas line fittings are too big, tail light lense is cracked, pipe plug in manifold and the rear fender flap bolts are cad and should be painted. Im not going to change anything becasue that is how I got it and Im happy with it.

This is the link to the photos if you have any questions you can probably figure it out between mine and Anthony's bikes.

        Matt

What was the pipe plug in the manifold for? I’ve seen this on several older bikes over the years. Bob L

I have no Idea, I have also seen several old intake manifolds with them but I dont know the official purpose.

Aftermarket companies sold a backfire pop-off valve to install in the intake manifold. They worked fine until they started leaking then the plug replaced them.
