Panhead Exaust System Woes

I am re-assembling a 1958 Panhead (King of the Highway) it has dual ehaust. When I dis-assembled this bike I failed to get a good picture of how the muffler supports were mounted. I can not tell which muffler support goes on which side. When they are lying flat on the bench one of them is raised off the bench on the end that mounts to the frame. I have attached a picture, the one on the right is not touching the bench.
Also I'm finding out the repop exausts don't fit worth a darn. Is one better than the other?

A picture would be greatly appreciated. There is a deffinate difference between the two and the spare parts catalog shows them as different part numbers.

Kim, the left side is a mirror image of the right. I do not have a duel in the shop right now. This is a pic of one of my 60s. Bob L

Didn't realize you were a member. I'll look your info up. Yes I'll be riding to NY just after the Davenport Swap on Labor Day. I usually stay for the flat track and leave the next morning. I will get off here and e-mail you.

There are different part numbers for the left and right supports. I can't measure it right now, but I seem to remember that on my '65 FLH that there was a difference. It might be just the spacer behind it, to provide clearance on the chain side.

Thanks Mike, I would appreciate when you get a chance. There is definatly an arch to one of them (doesn't look bent). I figured that is why two different part numbers.
