Correct finish for 1947 components

Can someone tell me the correct oem finish for the front brake lever (and pivot bolt) on a 1947 Knucklehead? Mine appears to have been parkerized, than painted over in gloss black.

Also, what about the fasteners for the transmission case? Are they parkerized or cad-plated?
