    I could be wrong, but I don't believe the relays with two hole removable mount plate was used on Knuckleheads. I think they were used on JD's for sure and maybe some VL's. At what point they were changed, I'm not really sure. If you look on page 366 of Bruce palmers book, there is a picture of a 36 kucklehead relay which is really a 1935 prototype photo. The really can be seen as the three hole mount which I'm assuming is not the removable type.

      The Knuck cut out mounts to a plate which is bolted to the case. The 1936 photos clearly shows a two post cutout relay with three holes in the mounting surface. Two holes are used for mounting.
