    I have some Knuckle cylinders with the rasied MC.I have some dated late 39 and early 1940 that have MC stamped in the base . Did they do them two ways . Thanks

    I was wondering this also, I have a few with MC stamped in the base.

      From my observations it appears that the majority, if not all 4 fin 61 cubic inch cylinders had the raised shield. 5 fin 61 cubic inch had MC stamped or possibly cast on them, and 74 cubic inch cylinders had the raised shield.
      I would be interested to see if anybody has cylinders with stampings that are different ?
