'37 Frontend Fender Tab Question

The '37 frontends had narrow front fender tabs that were reinforced with welded or spot welded metal plates and I really could use a picture or drawing that depicts the reinforcements.

If anyone can assist me, I certainly would appreciate the help!

Note that only a few of the '37's had that reinforcement on them. I have seen original bikes up into the 2300 numbers and none had the reinforcement. When and for how long was it used? That is anybody's guess.
