I have a 1947 EL frame that is in need of straightening, welding and general repair. Whom would you recommend?

Nobody in Bellair, IA. That one already got me in trouble.

Check with Tom from Fabercycle. He's in your neck of the woods. I had my 47 EL frame done here on the island but that's a little to far for you.

Thanks. I'm already in touch with Mr. Faber for handlebars.

I got the handlebars for my 47 from him. I'm very impressed with them.

Geez......my phone's been ringin' off the hook for knuckle frame repair. Sorry folks, but I can't help on that. I do frame repair on teens bikes, like Excelsior, pope., thor, American, Reading Standard. etc.

Nothing 20s or newer.............except handlebars, we do that....just not frames.

Try Bill Miller in Ohio. Maybe someone on here has his info. Brian.

One of the best is Dick Wascher at Wasco frame in Tacoma, WA. He specializes in frame repairs and restorations; watch for more of him in the near future...!

If anyone thinks they should send thier frame to Bellevue Iowa, please... PLEASE.... do NOT send your frame THERE...!!!! You will be sorely dissapointed, and will have wasted several hundred dollars...!!! And on top of that, you will need repairs done to the (hack hack) "repairs"....
