  • Chain Gaurds

    Hi.
I have seen some nice looking chain gaurds on ebay in recent months.
The seller usually has a picture of the 3 styles of chain gaurds together and offers for the buyer to pick the appropriate model for their bike.
I am not sure if the manufacturer is a AMCA member but I think he was on the Cannon ball run.
I would like his name and contact details if anyone can supply it.
    Regards Steve

That would be Larry Medwig. Not sure of his exact address at the moment. Cleveland, OH. area for sure. Check the roster.

I believe he's the one who made my accurate 1937-style H-D Big Twin chainguard: goes by "Hammercreek" on Ebay.

Larry goes by gaspump67 on ebay. If you want a good chainguard, he's your man.

Thankyou for the leads. i checked on ebay and he has no chain gaurds on there at the moment.
I looked for a club roster but could only find a member list, but he is not on it. There is a Larry listed but no second name.

If no one has his contact details I will wait until he lists them again.
            Thanks again for your help.

Yes, thanks, jwl. "gaspump67," sounds right. I'm obviously s-s-slipping. I bought something from each of them, he and Hammercreek, at about the same time a while back. Either may have that specially-curved early Knuckle chainguard at different times, but Larry Medwig makes it.

I think Larry is a sheet metal guy. Repairs tanks and Fenders. At least I get that impression From following the Olsen and Walksler blogs.

I bought a couple a year or so ago. They are really good. Haven't seen them on in quite some time. Maybe because nobody wanted to pay what they are worth??
