  • Springer top tree

I saw an interesting top tree on a knuckle chopper yesterday. The bike's springer had a top tree that used Flanders style risers. The strange thing about it was the nerds that the risers mount to were canted back at about a 30 degree angle that matched the bike's drag bars perfectly. Does anyone know what this thing is ?

Any photos? My36-48 Big Twin Parts book only shows handlebars. My 41-54 book covers "61" "74" "80" "45" shows 2 rubber mount sets available complete sets: handle bar triple clamps, riser brackets, and then the hydraglide rubber mounted risers attach to the riser brackets. Flanders had sets available too. Anyone know if the factory had them before 49 or only after as an accessory? Part numbers 56143-49 for 46-48 or 56142-49 for 37 to early 46- 61, 74, 80 and 40-52 45 twins.

These are not a factory conversion kit, but some kind of period aftermarket part. The factory top tree has the riser nerds coming out at a 90 degree angle, these were slanted back.
