I have a Delco horn I just bought and it is a 6 bolt pattern, I think I need a nine bolt. If I put this on and have it Judged someday will points be taken off? If I need a 9 bolt where do the missing 3 holes go? I have a shop and can drill them if I know where they should be placed. Also do the terminals go up or down when mounted. Thanks Rod

Borrow a 9 screw horn and copy the pattern. Note that the holes in the outer face are square. Find a fabricating shop that can punch the square holes for you. There is no other differences between the 6 and 9 screw horns.Be sure to visit;

Pick up the phone and call Harbour Vintage. Ask for a 9 bolt upper ring for a Delco horn. $25 and you've got your template for the other three holes ... PerryComment

You didn't say you had a 6 bolt with a mounting bracket. That gets a little tougher. You are probably better off finding a 6 bolt horn without a bracket attached. The brackets can be removed by unriviting it but it is a real chore to rerivit the back on once the bracket is removed.Comment
