  • 1938 neck on eek!bay

There's a first time for every thing.
I know I lead a sheltered life over here, but this is the first time I have seen a NOS frame component on ebay.
The new ebay picture format is pokey and makes it hard to get a decent look at anything. I tried to look down the tube holes but cant tell if the original tubing has been machined out.
If it is what he is claiming it to be "NOS" there be the holy grial for me. Item number: 330401644785
    1938 neck for the taking.

There is no bronze on any of the sockets and the steering damper has no wear mark.
He has said it was a Barn find. Has anyone else heard of these frame parts floating around?

I once had a dealer catalogue that listed part number and price for each and every part of the frame. The parts were available.

1938 ONLY neck sold for US$1293 on ebay today.
I'd be sipp'in Pina Colada's and on holidays if I could get that for every one of my necks.
