I am told that the later style knuckle valve cups and covers were originally parkerized and then painted with gloss black engine paint. As I have only seen them in black, I was wondering if the parkerizing was actually done by the factory. HOWEVER, if it was, I certainly will not be taking the black ones off of my '47 to parkerize and repaint!!
